Trimetals: Sheds - not just for your garden tools!
Gardening Tools
The next generation of gardening equipment designers is finding more and more ways to transform the humble garden shed, reports 1stChoice.
Home offices, outdoor bars, greenhouses and even steam rooms are just some of the new uses we're finding for our garden sheds. When forced to work out of the office and at home, it can be hard to find the peace and quiet you need to focus. With a lick of paint and some carpet, you can transform your shed into a peaceful home office.
Track down some vintage barstools and signs, add in some barstools and peanuts - you've got yourself your own personal bar; perfect for entertaining at barbeques, parties, or even to escape for an evening and having a quiet drink without stepping out of your front door.

1stChoice claims that "One of the several reasons why garden sheds are no longer being seen as 'just a shed' is because sheds now come in an array of shapes, sizes, colours and materials." Sheds are perfect for providing a special area in which to concentrate on your hobbies - such as carving wooden rocking horses.
An 82-year old retired mechanic is using his shed in Liverpool to carve rocking horses and chairs from recycled timber, indulging his 15-year passion for carpentry. Says the carpenter "I couldn't be sat in the house all day watching TV. Instead I'm out in my shed every house of the day playing about and experimenting."
Additionally, the garden shed of a San Francisco owner has even won a national prize at the American Society of Landscape Architects 2010 Professional Wards - picking up the Honour Award for its transformation into a fully functioning art studio.
The craze continues across the continents, with an art exhibition taking place in Melbourne, Australia, aptly titled "Into the Shed". The exhibition showcases sheds covered in graffiti and designed around a fantasy garden theme. Housing the exhibition is Fortyfivedownstairs, who says "The space will become an evocative sensory experience through the artists' creative interpretations of what exactly it is we keep tucked away in our garden sheds."
