How to Store Garden Tools
Gardening Tools
Article by Ivanov
There are periods of times through the year when we don't need to use some of our gardening tools at all. For example, through the winter season most of the tools are not necessary for any gardening task. However, we cannot simply throw them in the garage or in the shed until the spring come, because if they are not properly stored, some of them could become broken and totally useless. Otherwise, the proper storing may guarantee additional years of life to the gardening tools. Here are some simple steps that you can do before storing them:
You can begin with choose a proper place where to store your gardening tools. The things that you should consider are the moisture and the normal temperature in the place. You should avoid room with moisture as well as sub zero temperatures.
After finding a suitable place for your tools, the next step that you should do is to carefully check them out:
All of the tools that are made up of metal or steel as well as all of the tools parts should be carefully explored for rust. In case that you find some rust spot, you can use a steel wool and to rub it down. You shouldn't place any tool if there's any rust spot on it.The wood handles could be tested for weather-worn. If you find ones, grab a mineral oil soaked cloth and carefully rub and sand them.If some of the tools require being sharp such as garden shovels and tree pruners, it's recommended to sharpen them before storing. In this way, in the spring they will be ready for using and you won't need to spend time for sharpen them.
You should also consider the positions of the tools and how they are stored. They should be in stable positions without any risk of falling. In case that they are not store properly, if some of them fall, it can be a reason for accidental breaking.
When you decide to use your garden tools again, you can also check them out to be sure that they can be used again. For example, you can look for rust spots on the metal part of the tools.
In conclusion, you may reduce the storing process by choosing tools that are made up of quality materials. For example, the shovels that are made up of stainless steel will not require any rust preventing care.

Gardening Tools question by trobop: How can we get rid of crappy gangs(i'm super fed up with the killings and tagging or crimes)?
I'm not from a super big city but i'm from CA. and there's gangs everywhere. I hear in the news about shootings, killings, then i also see alot of grafitti.. and we were even robbed( our gardening tools: blowers, etc) some time ago, even though we live in a good neighborhood. Are we ever going to beat these bad people.. they seem to be running the world now. what's up with this...And more and more young guys, starting in highschool seem to turn into gangsters. GOd, i'm tired of it... why doesn't the police just put them in an island forever.

If possible why not just Move somewhere else.gangs have been around forever and they aren't going anywhere. There is only so much the police can do.I consider myself lucky and I live in Ottawa Canada and I have never came across "gang shit" I know it exisits here but I keep to myself.I must say this not all motor cycle gangs are evil. They are getting a bad rap and they should back off and stop the real terrorists.
